FavoritesHello my loves! Hope you are making yourself a fabulous day!

Today I thought I would do a post all about my favorites for the month of February. And *BONUS* most of these are drugstore products!
Lets get right to it!

Feb. Favorites

1. First up is my favorite foundation I’ve been using pretty much all month long. Its the Covergirl 3 in 1 Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation in Warm Beige. Its an amazing drugstore foundation. Great for any skin type. My skin is mostly dry and it looks awesome for about 8 hrs.
$9.35  and its lasted me a good 3 months! Pretty dang good.

2. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light, is my go to favorite this month for highlight. It is super creamy and I haven’t had any problems with creasing in fine lines. It comes in tons of shades for all skin colors
For only $3.99 on amazon, it can’t be beat!

3. The Lorac Pro Palette is by FAR my new favorite eyeshadows. The colors are so pigmented and the shadows feel like butter, butter baby! It has the perfect amount of matte shades and shimmer shades.  If you are going to spend the money on a higher end palette, this is THE ONE! It has everything you could ever want.
$42 and worth every single penny!

4. Ahhh, this little gem is the Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs Lip Color in Blushing Beige. It is currently my favorite nude lipstick.
Top this off with #8 and you have my go to lip. Love it!

5. This mascara was such a pleasant surprise. It is my favorite mascara hands down! I have the most stubborn straight lashes and after I use an eyelash curler most mascara formulas make my lashes fall and go completely straight down again. NOT this baby! It holds the curl like a champ and makes my lashes look soooooo long. What is this magical mascara, you ask? Mary Kay’s Lash Love Lengthening in Black.
Mid range of $15 but I would honestly spend double!

6. This beautiful brush is called a Tangle Teezer. My hair is getting out of control long and no matter how much product I would put in it.
I always had a hard time getting a brush through it without having painful knots. But this brush is amazing. I’m convinced it has magical powers. It smooths out my hair like a dream. This is the only brush I use now.
$12 is pennies for the product

7. A setting spray is a must for me after I put my make up on. It makes it look flawless for so much longer. This is one of my favorites.
Its called Model In a Bottle.
The name says it all. Only $14.99

8. Last, but definitely not least, is the Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Bejeweled. It is the prefect pinky lipgloss. It is sheer application of pink. Pretty on the lips alone. But absolutely gorgeous topped on pretty much any lipstick. Love this gloss! So glad I found it!

Hope you liked this Favorite’s post. Let me know if you want to see more of these posts about different products. Whether its reviews, my favorites, or whatever you want.

I would love to know some of your favorites. I’m always on the hunt for the next best thing!

As always thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ll come again soon!

Today was a brown kind of day. . . in a good way.  Sometimes I just love a smokey copper eye! Especially because its soooooo easy to do! Here’s how to accomplish this look.

Bronze CollageFace

Primer: I primed with my Primer

Foundation: L’oreal True Match Foundation W3 Nude Beige, applied with a wet Beauty Blender

Under Eye Concealer: Use your favorite creaseless concealer to hide any darkness under the eyes. One of my favorites is MAC Prolongwear Concealer in NW20

Highlight: I use Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer to highlight the high points on my face. Tap it in with the pointed end of the Beauty Blender.

Setting Powder: I set everything with my favorite setting powder, the Make Up Forever HD Translucent Powder

Contour: My favorite contouring bronzer is the Sephora Bronzer in Los Cabos. Its matte and DOES NOT look orange! Which I LOVE! I apply this in the hallows of my cheeks, around my jaw line, down the sides of my nose, and around the hairline on my forehead. I wanted this to be a very natural look so I went very light on this step.

Blush: I used the Mineral Fusion Blush in Pale to apply to the apples of my cheeks and lightly sweep toward my temples to blend with the bronzer contour.

Highlight: I added a little bit of  shimmery highlighter by Physician’s Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent on top of the cheek bones and down the bridge of the nose.

Eyeshadow Primer: I applied MAC Paint Pot in Painterly with my finger all over my eye.

Shadows: With my finger again I applied L’oreal’s Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush just on my lid. I blended the color Buck from my Urban Decay Naked1 Palette into my crease. Then added  the gorgeous color Garnet from my Lorac Pro Palette on the outer V of my eyes to darken it up a bit. I also ran that along my lower lash line. To darken the outside of the eye along the lash lines, I applied the color Espresso, also from the Lorac Palette.

Brows: Using the dark gel in the E.l.f. Brow Kit-Medium I filled in my brows

Lashes: For longer, fuller lashes I added some Knot-Free Ardelle Individual Lashes. I used the mediums on the outside and the shorts towards the inner eye.

Mascara: I topped the lashes with Mary Kay’s Ultimate Mascara in Black

Bronze Collage2

Lips: You can either leave the lips bare for a very earthy, natural look. Or for some added color I applied Jordana Lip Pencil in Rock N Rose all over the lip and topped that with the Maybelline Sensational Color Elixir in Nude Illusion.

I hope you enjoyed this coppery smokey look. Leave me any questions or comments you may have, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello my lovelies! I hope everybody had an incredible Valentine’s Day! I decided to post the make up look that I did for Valentines because I think it is a perfect night out look. I gave you two lip options to choose from. The classic nude or a vibrant berry pink! Keep reading to learn how to re-create this look. Comment and let me know if you’d like me to do a video tutorial of it as well.

Natural 7Natural 1Face

1. I started by priming my face with L’oreal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blurr Instant Skin Smoother Oil-Free. I pressed a pea size amount into my t-zone, or where I have the most visible pores.

2. I then primed my eyes with Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion. I apply this now so it can become tacky for the layers I’ll place on top.

3. Apply your favorite foundation. I used Covergirl 3 in 1 Outlast in warm beige. I buffed it in circular motions with an angled flat top kabuki brush from Sigma. The F88. They are amazing brushes that are comparable to MAC brushes and are half the price. http://www.sigmabeauty.com

4. To contour my face I used a foundation 2-3 shades darker than my skin tone. Mine was Eve Pearl HD Foundation in Deep 1. I applied this in the hollows of the cheeks, around the hairline of the forehead, under the chin and down the sides of the nose.

5. I used MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in shade NW20 to conceal my under eyes. Then took Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Concealer in the color Neutralize to highlight the middle of my forehead, down the bridge of the nose, under my eyes, on the tops of my cheek bones, my cupid’s bow, and the center of my chin. I blended everything together with my F88. *I will be doing an in depth post and video on how I contour and highlight soon!*

6. Then set everything with a powder. For my under eyes I used Ben Nye’s Banana Powder for extra highlight. Then set the rest with Make Up Forever Translucent HD Powder and a big fluffy Powder Brush from Real Techniques.

7. I bronzed my cheeks with Mary Kay’s Mineral Bronzing Powder in Bronze Diva using an E.L.F. Blush Brush.

8.Using the same E.L.F. brush I applied Mineral Fusion’s blush in Pale. *You can find this awesome makeup line at Shirlyn’s Natural Foods if you’re in the Utah area!*

9. I went over everything with a Sigma F55 Small Duo Fiber brush to blend everything seamlessly.

10. For an extra highlight on my cheek bones I used a fan brush from a craft store to apply Stila’s all over shimmer in Organza. I added this to the bridge of my nose and a little on my forehead as well.

Natural CollageEyes

I used my Urban Decay Naked 1 pallet mostly, but you can use any similar natural brown shades.

1. I put down a base called a Paint Pot from MAC in Painterly with my finger to cancel all color out of my eye lids. This will allow your shadows to be true to their colors.

2. I applied the color Buck (a light brown) first in my crease with a Sigma E40 Tapered Blending brush.

3. Then I packed the color Virgin (a shimmery silvery white) with the Urban Decay Shadow brush all over my eye lid.

4. I used an E.L.F. Crease brush to darken the outer 1/3 of the lid with Darkhorse (a dark shimmer brown) and took it up slightly into the crease.

5. I used Cream from my Lorac Pro Pallet to highlight under the brow bone. Any light cream or white shadow will do.

6. Then I blend all the harsh edges with a little more Buck (light brown) with a MAC 217 Blending brush

7. I defined my brows with the Perfect Arch Soft Powder Brow Pencil from Femme Couture in Black. I love this pencil because its more of an ashy charcoal color than it is black. It matches my brows perfectly. And the best part is it was like $1 at Sally’s Beauty Supply.

9. Next I used my BH Cosmetic Liquid Liner pen to draw a winged liner.

10. I added my Mary Kay waterproof eyeliner in Black to my waterline and tightline (the top and bottom skin right by your eyeball.)

11. Then I took Darkhorse (the dark brown) on a E30 Pencil brush and smudged that under my lower lash line, blending the black with it.

12. I curled my lashes with my Revlon Lash Curler and applied a waterproof mascara in Black. Mine is an organic mascara from Physician’s Formula. *You could also add fake lashes for a more dramatic effect, but I decided not to for my look.*

Natural Collage2Lips

For lips there are two awesome options. Nude, or a beautiful berry pink.

1. For the nude lip I lined my lips with an eye pencil from Mineral Fusion in the color Touch. *Use a very light hand with this color, or use any soft brown or pink.* Then apply your favorite nude lipstick and blend into the liner. I used Maybelline’s New Color Sensational lip stick in Blushing Beige and topped it with their new Color Elixir in Nude Illusion.

2. The pink was one of my Valentine’s presents from my hubby. Its the Sephora Rouge Infusion (lip stain) in Fuchsia. I’m in love with the color. Its perfect for a bold pop of color!

Which lip color is your favorite? The nude or the pink!?

This shoot was one of the funnest shoots I’ve ever done! I worked with one of my long time best friends Jacki Miller, from Jacki Miller Photography & Design. She is a brilliant photographer and designer. Not to mention one of the funnest people you’ll ever get to be around. Our beautiful model Gentri couldn’t have been more perfect. She has the most stunning red hair and the most gorgeous facial features. We decided we wanted to do a fun retro hollywood glam shoot and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Gentri was a complete trooper for baring the frigid cold for the amazing pictures. And despite the fact the fact that we almost died driving up the icy, snowy canyon. . . it was worth it for the amazing shots we got!

Here is Gentri during hair and makeup
